Rongo Gold Field Project

The Rongo Project is subject to an Earn-In and Joint Venture with Abba Mining Company Ltd., pursuant to which African Queen Mines the may earn up to an 85% interest in the Project, which is covered by a license encompassing approximately 97 sq. km. The Project is situated some 380 km. by road from the capital city of Nairobi and 60 km. N of the border with Tanzania, forming part of the rich Lake Victoria Greenstone Belt extending from Tanzania and hosting known world-class gold deposits including African Barrick Gold’s Bulyanhulu and North Mara Mines, within approximately 100 km. of the Project, and AngloGold Ashanti’s Geita Mine. Historical records of gold production are known.

Favorable results from its preliminary field work and airbourne geophysics at its Odundu property in southwest Kenya’s Rongo Gold Fields, have been utilized for target generation for its initial core drilling program. A convergence of positive sampling and geochemical results from field work with positive results from ground and airbourne geophysics studies points to a number of highly prospective targets. A zone of high chargeability over an approximate strike of 1.5 kilometers X 500 meters wide was detected over and within the shear zone/fault system.

Results are indicative of rich sulfide mineralization associated with gold. Initial grab sample from within the shear zone revealed a high value of 69 g/t Au. Other grab samples measured as high as 10.1 g/t Au. Termite-mound soil analysis revealed gold content as high as 669 ppb. Small-scale miners have been actively mining gold bearing veins in and around the Project area for months. Initial ground exploration and 2000 meter core drilling programs are complete at Odundu with assay results pending.

The Project is being managed on behalf of the Company on-site by Senior Exploration Geologist Mike Othitis, P.Geol. AIPG, MA, Bsc. General Project oversight is being provided by Senior Consulting Geologist Mr. Peter Siegfried (M.Sc., Member (CP Geology) of the AusIMM). Both are Qualified Persons under N.I. 43-101 and have reviewed and approved the information and data herein.

Phase I - Odundu Property Exploration Program

  • Detailed ground magnetic survey covering 5 square kilometers completed
  • Detailed airborne geophysical survey covering 6 square kilometers completed
  • Resistivity/Induced polarization survey completed.
  • Termite mound sampling and rock sampling completed
  • Initial Ground Exploration program and 2000 meter core drilling program is complete at Odundu.
  • A zone of high chargeability over an approximate strike of 1.5 kilometers X 500 meters wide was detected over and within the shear zone/fault system.  Results indicative of rich sulfide mineralization associated with gold.
  • Initial grab sample from within the shear zone revealed a high value of 69 g/t Au. Other grab samples as high as 10.1 g/t Au.
  • Termite mound samples ranged between 0.50 and 669 ppb Au with many samples in the higher ranges. (123 samples covering approximately one km. sq.)
  • A trenching program is now completed along the shear zone extensions to clarify final assessment for core drilling.
  • Trenching Assay Results

  • The assay results of trench channel samples received from ALS Chemex Laboratories confirm both low and higher grade gold mineralization over a strike of 567 meters.
  • Gold mineralization within the main Odundu shear zone exposed by trench B1 assayed 3.33 g/t au over 28 m.
  • Within the same mineralized zone values of 4.40 g/t over 1 m, 10.00 g/t over 2.2 m and 29.30 g/t over 1 m were also recorded.
  • Gold assay results obtained from Trench D include 33.00 g/t au over 1 m and 0.93g/t over 18 m.
  • Trench E recorded an assay value of 3.85 g/t over 3 m.
  • Initial Core Drilling Program

  • Ten initial core drill holes planned for 2,000 meters have been completed by Kenya-based Akili Minerals Services Limited on behalf of the Company.
  • Assay results pending.
  • Ground Magnetics Survey, Odundu Target w/ Termite Mound Sample Results
